We need to break that barrier of not respecting others feelings and opinions and we also need to step away from suppressing our feelings and voices for fear of how it will be received ..may 2022 be filled with respect,, boundaries and the right to feel .. keep em coming kay
Our parents weren’t equipped to deal with that aspect of our growth and I believe it had to do with where we came from…slavery. Speaking up/expressing our feelings was seen as a sign of disrespect/disobedience. But we have a great responsibility to correct that wrong and allow our children, spouses, friends and even ourselves the safe space to express what we feel🙂
@God‘s Masterpiece :Thank you my love! I know all to well of growing up especially with Caribbean parents not allowing you to feel. That’s quite too common. At least we know better so we can break the cycle for our children and future generation. I love you and you matter to me ♥️
